School of Diversity — understanding and supporting neurodiversity

Why we are here

Clarity and support when things feel complicated

Every person deserves to be understood and to access support that reflects their individual needs.

Neurodivergence can bring strengths alongside challenges. Families may find themselves navigating unfamiliar language, school concerns, assessments and decisions while trying to understand what will help.

School of Diversity offers accessible guidance and practical support so you can feel better informed and more prepared for the next step. You do not need to have everything worked out before getting in touch.

How we work

Start with the individual

Our work combines clear guidance with professional insight informed by psychological assessment and educational practice.

Understand the whole picture

Consider strengths, communication, experiences and needs in the settings that matter to the person and family.

Make information accessible

Explain options in plain language and help organise the questions and information relevant to the next decision.

Focus on practical steps

Connect understanding with support for daily routines, learning, participation and wellbeing.

Respect and inclusion guide our approach

We aim to provide a welcoming, non-judgemental space where questions are taken seriously, differences are respected and families feel heard.

Support shaped around real life

What we help people understand and navigate

Everyday skills and wellbeing

  • Emotional wellbeing and regulation.
  • Organisation and executive functioning.
  • Social communication and interaction.
  • Confidence, independence and resilience.
  • Routines, transitions and practical coping strategies.

Education and next steps

  • School difficulties and SEN support.
  • Preparing for conversations and meetings.
  • Understanding evidence and EHCP processes.
  • Transitions to further education and work.
  • Exploring appropriate support options.

We work with children struggling at school, teenagers managing increasing demands, adults seeking understanding and the families and professionals supporting them.

Our guidance and learning modules are designed to be practical and adaptable, recognising that no two people or families are the same.

Professional foundations

ADHD and autism assessment

For families seeking greater clarity, we offer ADHD and autism diagnostic assessment options informed by chartered psychological practice.

We recognise that assessment can feel daunting. Our approach values clear communication, ethical practice and care throughout the process.

Assessment is also a starting point for understanding what findings may mean in daily life. Where appropriate, we help families explore practical next steps at home and in education.
